Cassidy Harman, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

About Me

Outside of providing psychotherapy services, I appreciate going to the gym, reading a good book, listening to my favourite music, travelling, baking breads and desserts, taking my dog for a walk, and spending time with my friends and family.

My Credentials

I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University in 2024. I graduated with my HBA in Psychology & Gender and Women Studies from Lakehead University in 2022. I currently work with individuals aged 18 and older.

Modalities

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is my primary framework, where I emphasize focus on connecting thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Through this method, we can identify, challenge, and reframe thought processes to create and adapt to regular positive thinking styles. In addition, CBT can assist in the development or encouragement of productive habits and behaviours.

I also apply Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) lenses to my practice. SFT is collaborative and based on creating effective goals and solutions based on the present and future. Utilizing your strengths is an essential component of striving for positive change. With an emphasis on genuineness, and a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment, PCT can provide self-awareness and self-discovery.
